"Back in 1993 when I was 11 years old and first picked up a guitar, I knew this was what I was going to do with my life", says Brian Vodinh, the founder and former drummer/NOW guitarist in veteran, gold selling rock act 10 Years and founding member of Brave the Royals. Brian goes on to say, "Music is so multi-dimensional and has so many emotions, for me, Brave the Royals is a completely different feeling and emotion from 10 Years. BTR is just a different avenue for expression for me and my many musical shades."
Brave the Royals has carved their own path with their debut self-titled release, an 11-song onslaught of fuzzy guitars and animalistic drum patterns. Songs like "Break My Bones" showcase a fast paced and heavy handed rhythm section with vocal hooks that rival anything on active rock radio, while "All That's Left" is a 10 plus minute song that takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. After the departure of the band's original vocalist, Matt Wright, Brian chose to take over vocal duties and is now working on material that strays off the path from what can be found on the band's independent debut release. The band is leaning into a much more textured sound and will be releasing new music in 2018.
